LUCEDALE, Mississippi -- A George County man has been arrested and charged with 50 counts of possession of child pornography, stated George County Sheriff Tony Keel in a news release.
Marvin Calvin Lee Jr., 45, of the 100 block of Howard Road, Lucedale, Mississippi, was arrested Friday and was being held in the George County Regional Correctional Facility on Monday, Keel stated.
Lee faces five to 40 years in the prison on each count for a minimum of 250 years if found guilty of all charges, Keel stated.
The arrest was a collaborative investigation by the George County Sheriff's Department, Jackson County Sheriff's
Department and investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit of the Attorney General's Cyber Crime Division.
"I appreciate the partnership with Sheriff Keel and Sheriff Byrd in our war against child pornography," said Attorney General Jim Hood. "We are united in this fight against those who choose to prey on our children."
